Say Yes To Tennis KidsCalendarFamily Fun Night
This is the place to find out about tennis happenings. Upcoming events, lessons and tournaments are just some of the events that will be found here. You may even see your picture featured on the site...so stop back often.
Corbin and Ryan are participating in this week's tournament in Mentor. Even though they are kin, they don't let family get in the way of a good fight. I'm talking about on the tennis court. Ryan (on the right) has no regard for his big brother during practice matches or sets. If big brother's game is off at all little brother will be all over him. And, big brother Corbin (on the left) pities him not, not even a little bit.

My prediction for this week's tournament is.......they will do their family proud. I know they will play their very best and leave the results to themselves.
Just so you know, Ryan's nickname is Mini "D". Guess what "D" stands for... Dominator.
Corban's nickname is something I can't pronounce, so check out his new hoodie and see if you can decipher his name.
Best of luck to Corbin and Ryan. Let's see if they can bring home some hardware for the family.
Stay posted for their results. I will update their results at the conclusion of the tournament.
I went up to the finals in Mentor last Sunday. I witnessed Mini "D" win the event. He was well....Dominating! As those of you who play tournaments already know, closing out that final game to win a tournament is tough. Sometimes especially when family is there. So congrats to Mini "D" for another win a piece of hardware. Unfortunately, Corbin lost in the round of eight to the eventual champ. Nice try Corbin. Maybe next tounament we will have a family double winner.
News from the tournaments held in Lexington and Springside over the weekend of Nov. 11th.Mini D made it two in a row. And not only did he triumph in singles but he won the doubles as well. He teamed up with Owen Baggette to capture the boys doubles championship. Corbin and Brian both bowed out after winning their initial matches. At Springside, Chrissy lost a tough match in the semi finals. Next up is the Turkey Day tournament at Towpath. Can Mini D get the hat trick?
Noah's Story (He is family; the brother of Quincy and the son of yours truly.)

One day I tried out the tennis program and I had a lot of fun. But after a while it started to get too easy for me. I didn't feel too comfortable with moving up to the next group but one day I finally tried it and I was very happy that I tried it. Even though there is a lot more competition and running it is a lot more fun. Who knows if whoever is reading this is interested in joining you may see me next year in the advanced group at edgewood!
Stay tuned because we have three from Say Yes To Tennis who will be in action this weekend.Chrissy (bottom left) affectionately known as the Big "E" will be playing in the Sprinside tournament. Brian (bottom right) known as Brother "Bri" will compete in the Lexington tournament along with Corbin and Ryan. Ryan is still smoking from winning last week's tournament in Mentor. Just so you know Brian and Chrissy are brother and sister....wow, another family act for Say Yes To Tennis. Best of luck to our gang! Results from the Turkey Day Tourney: Mini D lost in the semi's in a third set tie break. Corbin lost in the round of 8 in a third set tie break. Brian lost in the first round. Chrissy lost in the round of 8 in three sets. So its back to the drawing board to get ready for the Christmas Tourney at the Hall Of Fame courts in Canton, Ohio.

Update from Canton Ohio's Hall Of Fame Tournament:Mini D dominated again and won another one. Way to go Mini D. Chrissy won the Girl's 16's event. The Big E as we like to call her got back at two girls who had beaten her the last time they met. Chrissy, you are bad :)
Tennis Tournament Updates: From the Chagrin Valley Jr. Boy's Tournaament: Mini "D" makes the finals but loses. I didn't see it but his mom said he played well.
From the Paramount Girl's Tourament:
Chrissy Wins Battle Of Backhands Chrissy (on right ) and Ashley put on quite a display of power. In the end it was Chrissy's backhand down the line that out gunned Ashleys killer backhand cross court. Both Chrissy and Ashley have a bright future.
